The team have guidelines and protocols to follow during the course of their work and may need to ask you for further details, including details of your symptoms or condition, when you telephone - this is so that your call can be prioritized if appropriate and to ensure that you can receive assistance as speedily as possible.
They have access to patient information on a need to know basis and are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as all other health professionals.
