In Person Consultations

There are practical things we can’t do by telephone or video consultation. In order to keep you and us safe we postponed what was safe to do.

As the situation is now easing we are recommencing more of the following in Practice:

  • Blood tests
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Cervical screening
  • Diabetic foot checks
  • Contraceptive injections
  • Immunisations for travel
  • Postnatal checks for new mothers
  • Routine childhood immunisations (these have continued throughout the pandemic)
  • Steroid joint injections – although these will be carefully risk assessed by our doctors on an individual patient basis prior to their and your agreement
  • Injections such as Vitamin B12, Prostap, Zoladex (these have continued throughout the pandemic where safe to do for high risk patients)

There are some things we still cannot offer as it is not yet deemed safe:

  • Ear syringing
  • Spirometry
  • Nebuliser therapy
  • Minor surgery –  skin lesions
  • Contraceptive implants
  • Intrauterine devices

As the pandemic progresses we will recommence more of what is safe to do in Practice. Please bear with us until this happens. Our aim is to keep you and us safe.
